Background information

I was born in the 60s, and, in 2013, I celebrated my fiftieth birthday. Being surplus to their requirements at the time, I managed to avoid military service and finish my education without interruption. I'm married to Montse and, in 1998, Ignasi (Nacho) was born. I enjoy intrigue, dilemmas and the art of magic, as well as reinventing the everyday routine. I have a passion for setting up, innovating and motivating teams. As time goes by, my mind is becoming more open and more creative. I've learned that companies are "living organisms" with an obligation to evolve. If they don't do this, they disappear. As Darwin would say, it's a simply a matter of adapting!

In a paragraph of barely 7 lines, it's a challenge to try and summarize 29 years of work experience, but we'll try;  I am currently leading an INTRAPRENEURSHIP and OPEN INNOVATION project related to the Business Transformation of our sales channel. Previously I assumed the direction of the Marketing and Business Development department of a division with a magnitude, greater than € 100M, and direct responsibility over 16 employees. I have also performed management functions in various areas; DIY Manager, Customer Segment Manager, Marketing Manager, Project Manager and Category Manager. Throughout these years, I've always tried to innovate, be intrapreneurship, develop and improve lines of business, but what gives me the greatest reward is leading and motivating teams.

​In the 3 years I worked at Sanyo Spain, I had essentially 2 roles; during the first stage, for about 2 years, I was responsible for creating and developing the Merchandising Department as pioneer. During the second stage, I became responsible for the launch and development of the new range of Microwave Ovens. On a personal level, this was a highly positive and deeply fulfilling experience, which gave me the opportunity to work in the consumer sector with high-class professionals.  I finished my studies in Marketing and I decided to focus on "General Management" as my professional career path.

​I went to work for IBM in an Authorized Dealership. The main mission was to promote the launch and sale of the new range of computers Personal System /2,  IBM's alternative to the rise of "PC clones". This experience was decisive for me, and I refocused my career on the world of marketing.
